FROM HARLEM…
TO THE WORLD.
Harlem Gospel Ensemble, founded by Du’Bois A’Keen, is a commercial performing choir rooted in the rich tradition of gospel music, carrying forward its legacy with a contemporary, global reach. With an expansive, multi-genre repertoire, the ensemble presents regular programming as part of the Harlem Gospel Series while also engaging in dynamic cross-disciplinary collaborations.
Their work has been featured alongside visionary artists such as Carrie Mae Weems at Lincoln Center’s Contested Sites of Memory, as well as with Craig Harris, Nona Hendrix, and Carl Hancock Rux, among others.
Blending sacred tradition with modern expression, Harlem Gospel Ensemble continues to bring the sound, spirit, and cultural resonance of Harlem to audiences around the world.
